The location. There is a tranvay stop just in front of the motel.10 minutes to Portland Downtown La ubicación. Hay una parada de tranvia justo en frente de motel y en 10 minutos estás en el centro

Everything is old and the room smells bad. Also we had a problem with our reservation. The front desk guy changed my reservation because my credit card was declined and when I payed with another card he increase the price 10 dolars. It was very annoying guy. We didnt like anything. Todo es viejo y la habitación olia mal. Además tuvimos un problema con la reserva. Mi tarjeta fué rechazada y cuando pagué con otra, incrementó el precio en 10 dólares.

Train station near motel, the train go to the city center, very conveniet to park your car at the motel and take the train to the city. Fare is 5$ for one day, too good to explore the city

We enjoyed the friendly staff, and easy access to freeway, public transport, and the city centre. We also loved the neon sign, priceless! The room was clean and bright. Good value. It was also great to have access to a laundry, and good to talk cricket to gentleman in the reception.

Fridge was a little noisy, but it didn't stop us sleeping. Reception needs an update.

The location of Palms Motel was ideal for travelling to downtown Portland. Most of the close hotels and motels were already all full when we were looking for locations. The price was very good.

We had booked for 2 rooms but because we arrived late and one of the room had a plumbing issue, they weren't able to give us the second room but gave us a rolling bed for $30 instead. They didn't really compensate for not having the second room since they still made us pay for the rolling bed.

Budget priced. Convenient to mass transit (outside door). Enjoyed amenities: refrigerator, microwave, flat screen TV, temperature controlled air conditioner. Quiet.

Fairly quiet, except for the air conditioner...yikes, way to noisey.

Although there was some remodeling going on in our room, we didn't like to shower as a new rod had been installed and the previous holes were still there and the spray from the shower was going into these holes. A very likely mold problem is brewing!!!! Also, no hooks to hang bathrobe/clothes on in bathroom and we didn't care for the fan feature as every time you turned the light on the noisey fan came on too.

The location was good, about 15 mins ride on the public tranport to downtown, the stop is a minute walk.

Mostly, I didnt like the staff. There was a young girl, who was helpful quite a lot, let us check in despite arriving early which was nice. We asked her later on if we can stay one more night to which she said there wasnt a problem. She made a note and said we wereok to pay the following day in the morning. I went to pay in the morning, but was told by another woman, older one, that we couldnt stay, that they were fully booked. I pointed out we asked and were told we are ok, but she kept insisting on the fact they were fully booked. I told that to my friend, who spoke to the younger lady and she went and insisted we were promised to stay and a note was made about that. The older woman than said that ok, we can stay one more night. Later on we could see the place wasnt even fully booked, as she said, she was just plain rude and clearly didnt know what is customer service. The rest was ok, bit dodgy people but otherwise not bad. Wouldnt come back tho, purely just for that "lady"

Having made our reservations early we were met with a quick.knowledgeable response. We were expected and after checking the rooms found them to be perfect for our needs. The beds were soft and clean. Nice tv and small refer plus the comfortable shower topped off our needs. And our needs were met and I would stay there again anytime. Perfect location, reasonable price...what more could you want? I could speak of another experience at another motel but will resist the urge to speak of them. So The Palms Motel is a big thumbs up from me!

Having to have a room upstairs? Can't think of much.

Close to where I needed to be as a volunteer for my son's middle school field trip.

Disgusting stains on the inside of both our bedspreads and a cigarette burn hole in the blanket on my bed in a room that is supposed to be non smoking. The room still had a back ground smell of smoke even if it was no longer a smoking room. We asked for additional blankets because we were not going to sleep anywhere near our bedspreads. We were given blankets that had scuff marks on them and did not look clean.

Really close to the city center and relatively inexpensive. There was a lot to do close to our hotel, and even a few bars, restaurants, and parks close by. The room was not extremely nice but who really spends that much time in their hotel room on vacation?

Some of the other guests were questionable, the room was not spotless and the amenities were nothing special.

            The Jacuzzi Room...

When we got to the motel, we asked to see the available rooms before we unpacked & got settled. The desk clerk approved & we saw the Jacuzzi room. It was about $40 more than the original room we booked, but nevertheless we wanted it. We were willing to pay the posted price for a simple room upgrade. However, when the desk clerk asked for the hotel manager's approval, he wanted to charge us for the room we had @ Full Price and The Jacuzzi Room for Full Price for one Night, because we had booked online. We hadn't even checked into our room. He ended up charging us for both for the price of the original room. Needless to say, we were dooped & paid almost $30 more for the Jacuzzi Rooms posted price. You'd think he'd want the business & Positive review?

We stayed one night in the double room with hot tub. it was really nice, the room was really big and we had 2 TV, one in front of the hot tub. The room was very clean too and for the price it was really worth it. We moved the next night to a normal double room and although smaller, same clean room.

Out of the way. They take cash for those things you don't want to appear on your credit card statement.
